If I were a font......

If I were a font.....what would i be Well I can tell you one thing that I defiantly would not be a sans-serif font. I love to use them in my design and I think as a communication tool they are great. Geometric pristine and perfect and also plastered everywhere it seems like any hack with Microsoft paint is inclined to try and be a modernist and use helvetica UN-KERNED!

I could be a serif font, maybe something like archer the beautiful slab serif with ball terminals in all the right places, but I feel like serif fonts immediately give off somewhat of a snobbish appeal as they harken back in history to modern style faces that adorned many of the more prestigious printed materials.

No No i think this week i want to be a script font, those fonts that everyone loves to hate and hates to read, the one in particular that I have in mind is a veer font. It is wild but in control, happy but serious, and overall playful with a hint of class its called divergently and it's beautiful.  

When using fonts I urge you to do this. Give the font your using a personality, let it speak to you. This is when you will truly realize that every piece you do has a specific font that will compliment it perfectly. Be great in the design of even the most simplest documents and remember fonts have personalities too.
