Goal-den Summertime

Even though we are already halfway through June, I recently sat down and set my list of goals to accomplish this summer. By setting goals, you will also raise your self-confidence, as you recognize your ability and competence in achieving the goals that you have set. I’m not talking about your typical “New Year’s Resolution” type of goals because well, you and I both know that come last February there was no longer a wait for a treadmill at the gym. (tisk-tisk)

Make goals that YOU find rewarding and will want to accomplish - not just ignore after a month or two. I tend to set several short term goals that could potentially lead into long term ones. I will share the list I made for the summer:

Read Tolstoy’s ‘Anna Karenina’
Get to Level 3 in Rosetta Stone French
Run a 5k in under 20 minutes
Try to not interrupt people as often

What are your interests? Can you apply them towards becoming a better person and feel triumphant? Take 20 minutes out of your day today and set your goals for the summer. Also, remember to stick with them for the payoff is well worth it!

Awesome!

Such good points and those are some really neat goals!

Mine are to learn css (I recently learned html), write and record my own song, create a poetry blog, and finish an organization development textbook I started but then put down.

Thanks for inspiring me to think about my goals!

J.
